Porter-Elder
Rebecca Lynn Elder became the bride of David Christian Porter in nuptials held May 21 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Ronald Simboli officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Priscilla Elder of Dinner Bell Five Forks Road, Farmington.
The groom is the son of Thomas Porter of Bayberry Circle, Liverpool, N.Y., and Denise Porter of Allison Avenue, Washington.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin ballgown with straight strapless neckline. The bodice was adorned with beading embroidery and featured a crystal basque waist, corset back and pick-up skirt embellished to match the bodice and extending through the chapel length train. Her headpiece was a finger tip veil with crystal trim.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Bartos, the bride’s sister. Bridesmaid was Angela Best Campbell, the bride’s best friend.
Flower girl was Autumn Bartos, the bride’s niece.
Best man was Eric McManus, a friend of the groom. Usher was Michael Bartos, the bride’s brother-in-law.
A reception followed at the Historic Stone House Restaurant in Chalk Hill.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and a 2002 graduate of Penn State University. She is a software specialist at Brainworks Software.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and is night supervisor in the Ad Design Department of the Herald-Standard, Uniontown.
Following a honeymoon to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the couple is residing at 52 Lebanon Ave., Uniontown.
