COLONEL ANDREW LYNN CHAPTER, DAUGHTERS OF AMERICAN REVOLUTION will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Uniontown Public Library. Lynn Keller will show a video on “Volunteer Genealogist for DAR.”
DAWSON-VANDERBILT LIONS CLUB will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Brownfield Community Center. The cost of dinner is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children between the ages of 6 to 12 and children under 5 are free. The Lions Club is active in the community by sponsoring the Tri-Town Little League and Vanderbilt Boy Scouts.
RONCO VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT will hold a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The dinner includes spaghetti with homemade sauce and meatballs, salad, bread and cake. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. For more information, call 724-583-9720. Local delivery only.
WASHINGTON, FAYETTE AND GREENE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY UNITS will hold a meeting March 7 at the American Legion Post Home 705, Centerville. The meeting will be hosted by Unit 377 of California and will begin at 10:30 a.m. with an executive council meeting followed by the regular council meeting at 11 a.m. Western Vice President Janice Boyer will be the guest speaker and will provide valuable information for dissemination to the units. To make reservations, call Shiela Kendall at 724-785-3352. Reservations should be made by Friday. The cost of the luncheon is $5. A contest will be held for a Poppy display. There will also be a memorial service. Those who attend the meeting are asked to bring a gift for the Presidents Project raffle and a selection will be made for a Girls State candidate.
