CHRISTIAN MEN’S FELLOWSHIP will host a breakfast at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at Third Presbyterian Church, Union Street, Uniontown. A full breakfast will be served followed by old-fashioned hymn singing, intercessory prayers and a gospel centered message. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Mark Berskshire, pastor of Laurel Mountain Baptist Church in Gibbons Glade.

UNITED WAR VETERANS OF UNIONTOWN will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at AMVETS Post 103. This event will be sponsored by the Fleet Reserve Association.

HOLY NAME SOCIETY AT ST. RITA CHURCH IN CONNELLSVILLE is sponsoring a pancake, buckwheat and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon on Sunday in the church social hall on South First Street. The price of breakfast is $4.50 for adults and $2 for children under 12.

RETIRED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES OF PENNSYLVANIA SUB CHAPTER 8404 AFSCME will hold their next meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday at the AMVETS in Hopwood.

AMEDISYS HOSPICE is sponsoring diabetic teaching classes today held in Waynesburg and Masontown. Alka Rambhia, R.D. and Certified Diabetic Educator will discuss Diabetes Mellitus type 1 and 2 and giving insulin injections. Aides and newly diagnosed diabetics are encouraged to attend. Classes will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Evergreen Personal Care Home in Waynesburg and from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Amedisys Hospice office in Masontown. The cost to attend class is $10 and attendees will receive a certificate. To register, call 724-557-4620.

THE WARRIOR TRAIL ASSOCIATION will be presenting local historian Dave Reid at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Warrior Trail Headquarters in Fordyce. Reid will talk about the early days of the Warrior Trail Association, McCoy pottery, Greensboro pottery, indian artifacts and coins, depression glass and crystal, and “anything old.” This will be a covered dish meeting.
