BELL TELEPHONE OPERATORS will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Monday at Eat n’ Park Restaurant.
CROSSKEYS HUMAN SERVICES, INC. MENTAL HEALTH AND AGING PROGRAM is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hugo’s Restaurant. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information, call 724-785-6180 ext. 12.
FAYETTE FRIENDS OF ANIMALS will hold an 80’s dance at 8 p.m. Saturday at Mallards Landing, Duck Hollow Golf Course. A disc jockey will play 80’s tunes for a big blast from the past. Everyone is invited to join in on the fun, dance and wear their 80’s wardrobe. All proceeds benefit the animal orphans at the shelter. For tickets, call 724-438-3698.
FLENNIKEN LIBRARY’S spring book sale is currently underway and will take place until May 26 in the library’s Blue Room during the regular library hours of 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The selection of items includes novels, nonfiction, books for children and young adults, movies, children’s CD-ROMS and recorded music. Other items for sale include furniture and equipment the library no longer needs, such as a TV, wooden and metal folding chairs, carts and storage items.
Most of the sale items will not be priced. Instead, monetary donations will be accepted in any amount. Proceeds from the sale will be used to support library programming.
ST. MARY’S GOLDEN CLUB will meet at 1 p.m. Monday in the meeting room of Meadow Heights, Beeson Boulevard. New members are always welcome.
