ST. MICHAEL ORTHODOX CHURCH is hosting their annual Middle Eastern dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The menu will include kibbee, grape leaves, Syrian style rice and beans, salad and pita.

CALVARY APOSTOLIC CHURCH will host a Trunk or Treat from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at 127 Rolling Hills Estate Road. There will be free candy, games, pumpkins and a hayride for children from Uniontown and surrounding communities. For more information, call 724-366-0462.

CHIEF TANACHARISON CHAPTER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN COLONISTS (DAC) will hold a luncheon meeting at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the Stone House Restaurant in Chalk Hill. Speaker and honored guest will be Lisa Fratto, a teacher at Southmoreland Elementary School in Scottdale. She will be presented with the DAC Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award. Members are reminded that dues are now payable and that the chapter will be collecting for the Wreaths Across America project. Peggy Farquhar and Marilyn Weaver are hostesses. Barbara Keefer is chapter regent.

EAST END UNITED COMMUNITY CENTER will hold its annual Uniontown’s Got Talent Event at 8 p.m. Saturday at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus’ Maggie Hardy Magerko Auditorium. Doors will open at 7 p.m. There is a fee for tickets, and there are still a couple of spaces available for those wishing to compete. FOUNDATION OF MON GENERAL presents The Fabulous Hubcaps from Washington D.C. at 8 p.m. Saturday at Mylan Park in Morgantown. People are invited to bring their own food and beverages and parking is free. To purchase tickets or for more information, call 304-598-1337.

REPUBLIC COMMUNITY LIBRARY will host a Halloween party and parade from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. People are invited to come in costume and join the library for a “spooktacular” time including crafts, games, treats and stories. Children wishing to attend must be accompanied by an adult.

JUNIATA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will host a buckwheat and pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church located between Little Summit and Bitner. The menu will include buckwheat and pancakes, sausage, home fries, applesauce, orange juice and coffee. For more information, call 724-529-0430.

LAUREL HIGHLANDS CHEERLEADER BOOSTERS will host a prom gown extravaganza from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 3. The event will feature gently worn dresses, gowns, jewelry and shoes for sale at a discounted price.
