CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS 505 UNIONTOWN will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Poplar Lane Court for a monthly meeting. Annual mass and breakfast is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 30 at St. Mary Nativity church. All details will be discussed at the meeting.
BRETHREN CHURCH OF MASONTOWN is sponsoring a Family Fun Festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at 112 W. Church Ave. There will be live music, games, prizes and lots of food. People are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the free concert and bonfire.
CENTER IN THE WOODS will host a day full of activities starting at 8 a.m. Saturday. A bake sale, waffle breakfast and flea market will take place at 8 a.m. A waffle or eggs and sausage breakfast will take place until 11 a.m. A lunch menu will be available at noon. The center will offer health screenings and services from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be blood pressure, bone density and home care and wellness screenings available. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. antique appraisals and cash for gold opportunities will take place. There is a fee to have antiques appraised. CONFIRMING WORD MINISTRY will have its first annual carnival from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at 301 Fairview Ave., Masontown. There will be food, games, prizes and more. For directions, call 724-583-1740.
DRESS FOR SUCCESS will have a vendor and crafter fundraiser event from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Uniontown Polish Club, 229 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown. There will be 20 vendors and crafters participating as well as baked goods, refreshments and more. MAPLETOWN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will host a chicken roast from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday to show the benefits of years of fundraising for the construction of the wheelchair lift. The menu will include a half chicken, barbecue baked beans, parsley potatoes, a roll and cookies. Congregation members have extended the vestibule roof and completed some concrete work necessary for the lift. The members have been fundraising for more than four years and have raised more than $33,000 for the wheelchair lift and accompanying projects. For advanced tickets or directions, call 724-943-3219.
ROTARY CLUB OF CONNELLSVILLE will hold their annual rose sale Friday through Sunday at various locations. Rose colors include cherry brandy, orange unique and hot princess. The option is available to have a bouquet of mixed colors. Sale locations include Lynn’s Dairy Queens in Connellsville and Mount Pleasant all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday; the lobby of Highlands Hospital from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday; and at both Scottdale Savings and Loan drive-thru and PNC Connellsville Shopping Center drive-thru at 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
