BROWNSVILLE DEMOCRAT WOMEN will hold their regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brownsville Dairy Queen, National Pike, Brownsville. New members are always welcome.
CALVARY APOSTOILC CHURCH will have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at 1 p.m. Sunday to support medical expenses related to 18-year-old Zack Sandy’s recovery from being struck by lightening. The church is located at 127 Rolling Hills Estate Road. Take-out dinners will be available.
YOUR COMFORTING CARE will host their first annual Community Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday across from the former VFW Post No. 47 on Main Street in Uniontown. There will be a variety of vendors and food concessions. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and their annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s which will take place Oct. 6 at the Pittsburgh Zoo. CHRIST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH’S NUTRUE AND OUTREACH MINISTRY will have a free community meal from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the corner of Beeson and Fayette Streets in Uniontown. The community meals will be held the third Sunday of each month, and all are welcome to attend.
FAYETTE COUNTY NAACP in partnership with the East End Citizens Groups will conduct a Voter Registration and Education Drive from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Uniontown Mall near the Hallmark Store. NEW SALEM NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the NSPC social room. The speaker for the evening will be Jenn Soisson talking about domestic violence in communities. Plans for the third annual Light Up Night on Dec. 1 will be discussed at this time.
THE OLD PETERSBURG-ADDISON HISTORICAL SOCIETY, INC. will hold its annual meeting in the non-smoking dining room at the Anchor Inn at 7 p.m. Monday. The program will be presented by Fort Necessity on the subject of the 250th anniversary of the peace of initiative by the Cherokee and French nations.
ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH will resume making pirohi from Sept. 21 to May 2013. Orders can be placed every Monday from 9 a.m. until Thursday morning for Friday pick up at 201 East Main St., Uniontown. To place an order, call 724-434-5355. X FACTOR YOUTH MINISTIRES ALLISON CHIRSTIAN CHURCH will have a fall kick off party from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday. People between the ages of 3 to 20, from all denominations are welcome to attend.
