OUR CARING CORNER is currently looking for volunteers to help children, adolescents and families deal with grief. Our Caring Corner does not offer counseling; it only offers peer support and caring. The venue is age-specific, meetings are held in a group atmosphere according to age groups. This approach gives the ease of comfort and at the same time creates a family setting giving encouragement and support to all individuals specific age groups. Training sessions are currently under way, and anyone over the age of 18 and able to obtain criminal and child abuse clearances is invited to participate. MOUNTAIN FELLOWSHIP CENTER will hold a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the center in Markleysburg. For more information, call Crystal at 724-329-5774.

COLONEL ANDREW LYNN CHAPTER, DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Uniontown Public Library. The program is “Silver Cinders,” a DVD about the coal mining history of the local area.
FAYETTE COUNTY AMERICAN LEGION COMMITTEE will meet at 7 p.m. April 10 at Post 278 in Fairchance. Commander Miller is requesting as many members from each post attend this meeting and to bring their concerns or questions so they can be addressed.
POINT MARION UNITED METHODIST CHURCH’S New to You store will be open 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at 502 Morgantown St., Point Marion. Items available will include clothing for all ages, toys, household items and more.
UNITED METHODIST WOMEN DISTRICT MEETING will be held Saturday at the Asbury United Methodist Church. Registration and coffee time will begin at 9 a.m. The meeting entitled “Living the Heart of God” will feature Rev. John Logan, pastor at Acme United Methodist Church, as the speaker for the worship service. Special music will be provided by Bert Sesler. A luncheon will follow the service.
