As prom season approaches, Nemacolin’s Walk-in Closet at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington recently sought to help local girls searching for a bargain on a gown as well as women looking for discounts on formal wear.

The human resources staff at Nemacolin Woodlands and Torie Miller, a junior at Uniontown Area Senior High School, worked together to organize the day-long event, held at the resort’s Horizon Point, located near Falling Rock hotel.

Nemacolin’s Walk-in Closet featured an array of gently used gowns, shoes, handbags and jewelry as well as a fashion show in which buyers could take a better look at these items.

In the end, the project also give a boost to charities that benefited from the sale, including the Crime Victims’ Center of Fayette County and the Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh.
