DeUnger, Evancho pace Charleroi to win over Brownsville American Legion

Carmichaels 11, Waynesburg 1 – Brothers Jared and Jeff Lapkowicz had three hits apiece, and Colby Giles allowed just two hits over five innings as Carmichaels breezed past Waynesburg in a game halted by the 10-run rule.

Giles worked the first four innings, allowing a single and Eric Churney’s double. He struck out two and walked two.

Jared Lapkowicz counted a triple and double among his hits, while Jeff Lapkowicz aldo doubled.

Drew Denham and Jami Kowalczyk added a pair of singles.

Aaron Carpenter suffered the loss, working the first three innings. He allowed nine runs (five runs), 10 hits and walked three.

Carmichaels improves to 12-5, while the loss drops Waynesburg to 3-12.
