Five-run fifth sparks Bud Murphy’s past Carmichaels, 6-2 Fayette American Legion

Colonial 3 12, Farmington 5 – Chad Rice nearly hit for the cycle Friday night with a single, double and triple to carry the home team to a Fayette American Legion League victory.

Jason Rechichar smacked a two-run home run for Colonial (12-1) to go with a single. Matt Rechichar and Nathan Lewis finished with three singles with Brandon Williams adding a pair of singles to the Colonial attack.

Matt Greene (2-1) went the distance for the win, striking out five and walking none.

Gary King and Howie King both doubled for Farmington (5-12) with Jared Early adding two singles.
