Tri-State Coaches Invitational – Laurel Highlands placed 25th out of 39 teams Thursday in the final race before the WPIAL Championships. Uniontown was 27th in the team standings with Waynesburg Central 37th.
Larry Brink led the Mustangs in 39th place for scoring with a time of 17:53. Ben Shinsky (61st), Jay Cronin (154th), David Sumego (189th), Will Ashton (192nd), Chris Manges (203rd) and Dan Stefancin (212th) also ran for Laurel Highlands.
Kevin Monaghan finished 100th for the Red Raiders. Other runners scoring for Uniontown included Andy Gleason (129th), Jasper Hawker (139th), Aaron Moyer (161st), Paul O’Neil (169th), Jon Guth (188th) and Scott Hruby (213th).
Waynesburg Central, a Class AA school, was led by Frank Bryan in 107th place with a time of 18:42. Brad Mirkovich (240th), Jack Haines (245th), Jeff Fox (250th), Matt White (256th) and Dustin Henderson (262nd) ran for the Raiders.
Ryan Moravac was a one-man team for Belle Vernon, finishing 95th overall in a time of 18:35.
