Local roundup: Red-hot Rohanna sets record in Waynesburg win
Albert Gallatin 202, Southmoreland 220 – The Colonials kept pace with the Division I, Section 2 leaders with a win on the road at Timber Ridge Golf Course. Albert Gallatin improves to 4-1 in the section and 6-1 overall. Southmoreland falls to 0-5 and 1-6. Josh Oros was medallist for Albert Gallatin with a 37. Eric Brooks was a shot of the pace with a 38 while Pat Pishko scored a 41. Ron Ferlin and Larry Wise both had 43.
Phil Sanders and Jason Sinsley both shot 42 for the Scotties. Tom Beal had a 43, Josh Hodgkiss finished with 44 and Tyler Hillegas shot a 49.
The Southmoreland girls golf team improved to 3-0 in Section 1 with a 205-272 victory over Woodland Hills on Wednesday.

Waynesburg 3, Carlow 0 – The Lady Yellow Jackets were pressed in the second and third sets, but maintained the shutout for a non-conference home victory.
Waynesburg (6-2) won by the scores of 30-18, 30-25 and 30-25. Kathy Twaddle led the defense with 14 kills and nine blocks. Katie Beall controlled the offense with 31 assists. Connellsville graduate Kerri Petko contributed nine kills.
