Uniontown grad Duncan headed to Bethany
Uniontown graduate Brandon Duncan has decided to continue his academic and athletic careers at Bethany College. Duncan, who averaged 20.9 points while leading the Red Raiders’ basketball team to a section title, is expected to get plenty of playing time as a freshman on coach Aaron Huffman’s Bison team, which competes in the Presidents Athletic Conference.
“Now that I’ve made the decision, all the pressure has been lifted off,” said Duncan, who plans to major in physical education.
“Of all the schools I looked at, Bethany was best for me. And basketball-wise, the coaches are great and I think I will fit in with their style and game plan.”
“Brandon is a big recruit for this program,” said Huffman, who guided the Bison to an 11-15 record in his first season. “He has nice range and athleticism and has been well-coached and been part of a traditionally good program at Uniontown.”
Duncan is a son of Mark and Judy Duncan of New Salem.
