Carmichaels 49, Bentworth 46 – Bobby Hathaway scored 15 points and Jono Menhart hit a pair of 3-pointers in tallying 12 points as Carmichaels held off host Bentworth in a non-section game.
The Mikes fell behind 15-13 after the opening period, but came back with a 17-12 edge in the second to go up 30-27 at halftime. Carmichaels pushed its lead to 43-35 after three and hung on from there for the victory.
Jamie Kowalczyk contributed 10 points for coach Don Williams’ Mikes (9-6).
Jake Chestev and Ryan O’Donnell paced the Bearcats (6-10), who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
California 61, Frazier 47 – The Trojans scored nearly half their points in the fourth quarter to rally for a non-section road victory. Trailing 33-25 after three quarters, California outscored its hosts, 26-14, in the final eight minutes.
Ryan Robinson led California and all scorers with 25 points. Shane Tonkavitch hit three 3-pointers and three field goals to finish with 15 while Rick Cope added 12.
Riely Tidholm scored a team-high 16 points for the Commodores. Steve Erdely added 12.
