Frazier picks up win over Lady Trojans
PERRYOPOLIS – The Frazier Lady Commodores picked up a win in Section 2-A Monday night, defeating the visiting Lady Trojans of California 37-25. Frazier (5-15, 4-6) led the entire game and rode the play of senior forward Ashley Godla, who finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.
“The girls did a great job on defense tonight,” Frazier coach Chris Lucovitz said. “My big girls did a great job rebounding on defense and didn’t give up to many second shots. This is the first time they dominated the boards this season.”
Frazier edged out to a 9-5 lead in the first quarter. Godla scored five in the quarter for the Commodores. Brooke Carson, and A.J. Morgan each added field goals for the ‘Dores.
The Lady Commodores took control of the game in the second quarter, with a 9-0 run to open the period. Vanessa Myers started the scoring with a field goal. Carson hit a free throw, then added a field goal.
