E-F rallies in 2nd half to beat Lady Raiders, 51-45

The second half was Waynesburg Central’s undoing Monday night with the Lady Raiders unable to hold onto a 24-21 halftime lead in a 51-45 loss at Elizabeth-Forward. The Lady Warriors moved ahead with a 12-8 third quarter and sealed the win with an 18-13 fourth quarter. Jeanette Wonsettler and Megan Summersgill both scored 11 points for Waynesburg.

Matta Toothman had a strong game under the boards with 14 rebounds, as did April Vandruff with 12.

The Lady Raiders go to 1-1 in Section 4-AAA and 4-5 overall.

Elizabeth-Forward had three players in double figures with Laureen Reed leading the attack with 14 points. Amanda Debevec scored 12 points and Chrissy added 10 points in the victory.
