Bloomsburg rallies for win over Slippery Rock BLOOMSBURG, Pa. (AP) – Jamar Brittingham scored three of his four touchdowns in the second half to lead Bloomsburg to a come-from-behind 40-24 victory over Slippery Rock on Saturday.

Brittingham, who rushed for a career-high 250 yards, scored on a 3-yard run in the third quarter and on 12- and 37-yard runs in the fourth for Bloomsburg (1-0), which trailed 24-6 midway through the third period.

Josh Heck had a 59-yard scoring run and Kevin Keating caught a 9-yard pass from Jack Lydic in the third quarter.

Brittingham also scored on a 28-yard run in the first quarter.

Josh Kniess had a 2-yard touchdown and John Benca caught a 14-yard scoring pass from Nate Crookshank in the second quarter for Slippery Rock (0-1).

Luke Wetzel scored on a 1-yard pass from Crookshank in the third quarter before Bloomsburg started its charge.

Ryan Daniel kicked a 31-yard field goal to open the scoring for Slippery Rock, which led 17-6 at the half.

Edinboro 47, W. Va. Tech 0

EDINBORO, Pa. – Ulysee Davis ran for three touchdowns and 132 yards and Edinboro held West Virginia Tech to fewer than 100 yards on offense as Edinboro won 47-0 in the season opener for both teams.

Davis scored on runs of 1 and 12 yards as Edinboro raced to a 21-0 first quarter lead.

Davis would score on a 23-yard run late in the first half, sandwiched between Kody Robertson’s 26-yard field goal and Jeff Dinger’s score on a 7-yard pass from Justin Bouch as Edinboro led 31-0 at the half.

West Virginia Tech managed just 15 yards on 19 carries.

Quarterbacks Joey Jude and Micah Brown threw for just 79 yards, completing just 10 of 33 passes between them.

Jude also threw five interceptions.

Virginia Tech also punted eight times and lost a fumble, as Edinboro possessed the ball for nearly 39 minutes.

Robertson added a 27-yard field goal and C.J. Trivisonno scored on a 9-yard pass from Bouch’s backup, Josh Hinkle.

DeMark Robinson rounded out the scoring with a 1-yard-run midway through the fourth quarter.
