Correction Williams gains 35
Brownsville running back Dimetrius Williams was not credited in Saturday’s editions for the yardage he gained during Brownsville’s 14-6 win at Albert Gallatin last Friday.
Williams gained 35 yards on 13 carries for the Falcons.

Cal ties Shippensburg
California University of Pa. junior Tessa Babik scored two goals within a span of six minutes in the second half Sunday, erasing a two-goal deficit as the Vulcans managed a 3-3 tie with Shippensburg in a non-conference match. Babik had a part in all three goals. She also assisted on Michelle Ewig’s goal in the first half.
Hannah Speigle turned aside five Shippensburg shots. Shippensburg goaltender Meredith Yakscoe-Markle stopped three saves of 14 shots.

Abraham, Benson return
John Abraham, a three-time Pro Bowl defensive end, and Cedric Benson, the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft this year, were at their teams’ practice facilities Monday.
Abraham signed his one-year, $6.67 million franchise tender with the New York Jets after missing all of training camp. Benson, a running back from Texas, reportedly got a five-year, $35 million deal with the Chicago Bears.
