UPG looking to improve
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg women’s volleyball team will be looking to improve on last season’s 4-22 record under third-year coach Leroy Simms.
Simms did guide the Bobcats into their first ever appearance in the AMCC tournament. The Bobcats were 3-6 in AMCC play during the regular season.
Simms will be counting on two returning starters in Beth-Center graduate Breanne Bell and Ashley Cooper.
Bell, a sophomore outside hitter, earned honorable mention All-Conference honors in 2004.
“Breanne and Ashley gained valuable experience a season ago and will be relied upon heavily for leadership this season,” Simms said.
The Bobcats begin the season in the Oberlin tournament on Friday.
