Lady Lions hammer Indiana, improve to 10-2 in Big Ten
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) – Amanda Brown scored 12 points and tied a career high with 11 rebounds, leading No. 25 Penn State to a 67-45 victory over Indiana on Thursday night. The Lady Lions (15-8, 10-2 Big Ten) used a 22-3 first-half run to erase a three-point deficit. Penn State held the Hoosiers without a field goal for more than 12 minutes and limited them to 13 points in the first half. Cyndi Valentin scored 12 points to lead the Hoosiers (9-13, 2-10), who shot 17-for-60 in the game.
Tanisha Wright scored four of her 10 points to help Penn State to a 25-9 lead in the first half. The Lady Lions held a 32-13 advantage at the half and led by at least 15 points the rest of the way.
Penn State has not lost a Big Ten game at home since losing to Iowa 96-81 on Feb. 10, 2002.
The last team to beat Penn State at home was Louisiana Tech, on Dec. 21, 2003.
