Sixth-ranked Cardinals win 15th straight at home STANFORD, Calif. (AP) – Brooke Smith scored 17 points to lift No. 6 Stanford past No. 14 Boston College 76-66 for the Cardinals’ 15th straight home win on Saturday.

Kelley Suminski had 15 points and Candice Wiggins added 13 for the Cardinal (15-2), winners of six straight. Stanford finished 8-of-8 from the free throw line in the last 2 minutes and snapped BC’s 11-game winning streak.

Jessalyn Deveny led the Eagles (12-2) with 26 points and Brooke Queenan added 17.

Trailing 41-21 at halftime, BC opened the second half with an 18-9 run and a late 13-2 run to pull to seven.

No. 12 Texas 63, Oklahoma State 42

AUSTIN, Texas – Behind strong defense and Tiffany Jackson’s 20 points, Texas snapped a two-game Big 12 losing streak.

Texas (9-5, 2-2), which lost to Texas Tech 79-62 on Wednesday and then-No. 3 Baylor 63-60 on Jan. 8, forced the Cowgirls into 30 turnovers.

Christian Hood led Oklahoma State (5-9, 0-4) with eight points, but fouled out with more than 7 minutes left. Cowgirls’ leading scorer Nina Stone was held to four points on 2-of-7 shooting.

No. 23 Kansas St. 74, Nebraska 59

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kendra Wecker had 25 points, eight rebounds and six steals to lead Kansas State (12-3, 3-1 Big 12).

Kiera Hardy scored 29 points and made five 3-pointers for the Cornhuskers (11-5, 3-1), who were coming off a triple-overtime victory Wednesday against No. 2 Baylor – their first win over a Top 5 team.

The Wildcats led by 23 early in the second half. Nebraska closed to 60-51 with 4:22 left, but Wecker hit a jump shot and Claire Coggins (13 points) scored on a fast-break layup to end the rally.

No. 24 Iowa State 65, Missouri 59

AMES, Iowa – Mary Fox had 17 points to help rally Iowa State to its 11th straight win.

Anne O’Neil added 15 points and Katie Robinette had 12 for the Cyclones (14-1, 4-0 Big 12), who improved to 9-0 at Hilton Coliseum.

Iowa State trailed by as many as 14 points in the first half and didn’t take the lead until O’Neil’s jumper capped an 8-0 run for a 47-45 edge with 9:27 left. Missouri (7-8, 1-3) pulled to 55-52 before Iowa State went on a 7-1 run with 1:09 left.

No. 16 Connecticut 73, Villanova 57

STORRS, Conn. – Freshman Charde Houston scored 20 points and Jessica Moore added 19 to lead UConn (10-4, 4-0 Big East).

Jackie Adamshick led the Wildcats (9-6, 2-1) with 17 points and Liad Suez added 10.

Villanova had won the last two meetings against UConn, but couldn’t settle into its trademark deliberate tempo. Moore’s breakaway layup capped a 12-0 UConn run for a 66-44 lead with 4:12 left.

The Huskies outscored Villanova 34-18 in the paint and finished with a 35-26 rebounding edge.
