Gudac Lanes will be starting summer leagues soon. The Adult Junior League will get under way at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday May 24, and a Senior Citizens league will begin at 6:30 p.m. the same day, and a Mixed Couples League will get under way at 7:30 p.m. May 25.

Interested bowlers can contact the center after 6 p.m. any evening for more information at 724-785-5600.

Last week on the PBA Tour, Patrick Allen, who is the reigning PBA Player of the Year, captured his second title of the season at the Great Lakes Classic. He defeated Patrick Healey, Jr., 259-193, in the title match for his seventh career title.

Allen had a tough match in order to be in position to win when he took on Pete Weber in the first semifinal. He was able to narrowly escape, as he edged out Weber, 248-245.

This week, the PBA Tour is in Uncasville, Conn., for the 2006 Dexter Tournament of Champions, which is the final event and fourth major of the season.

The final four bowlers will bowl for a $100,000 top prize and a two-year exemption through the 2007-08 season.

The event is also the fourth and final major this season.
