Furyk repeats as winner of Nedbank Challenge SUN CITY, South Africa (AP) – Jim Furyk won the Nedbank Challenge for the second straight year, earning $1.2 million with a two-stroke victory over Sweden’s Henrik Stenson in the unofficial tournament.
Furyk closed with a 2-over 74 for a 12-imder 276 total on the Gary Player Country Club course. He opened with rounds of 68, 66 and 68.
Stenson, the only player in the 12-man field to break 70 on Sunday, shot a 69. Ireland’s Padraig Harrington (75) was third at 8 under, and three-time winner Ernie Els (72) was another stroke back at 7 under.

Some well-known players were outside the cut line for cards. Four-time tour winner Duffy Waldorf was tied for 39th at 6 under after a 69, and two-time U.S. Open winner Lee Janzen was tied for 97th at 3 over after a 73.
