Laurel Highlands’ Ramsey to play until surgery in Feb.

By Mike Ciarochi 1 min read

Laurel Highlands junior Kaleb Ramsey will have surgery to repair damage in his right shoulder, but the surgery will not take place until February, LH coach Rick Hauger said Friday. Ramsey missed Tuesday’s game due to a medical procedure performed to determine the extent of damage to the shoulder. The procedure involved a dye injection and Ramsey was advised against playing and could not even lift his arm by late afternoon, Hauger said.

“He’s going to have the surgery, but he’s going to try to play through it,” Hauger said. “We have been assured that there is no risk of further damage or injury.”
