Jagr, Straka star in Rangers’ victory over Senators OTTAWA (AP) – Jaromir Jagr and Martin Straka each had a goal and an assist, and Henrik Lundqvist made 34 saves in the New York Rangers’ 3-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.

Straka scored during a two-man advantage in the first period and Jagr struck in the second to help the Rangers beat the Senators for only the third time in 13 games. New York hadn’t won in Ottawa since March 21, 2002.

Brendan Shanahan added his 22nd goal into an empty net for New York. The Rangers won their second straight game after dropping four in a row.

Devils 5, Bruins 1

BOSTON – Jay Pandolfo and Jamie Langenbrunner scored first-period goals and Martin Brodeur made 19 saves to lead New Jersey to its season-high fifth straight win.

Red Wings 5, Leafs 1

DETROIT – Henrik Zetterberg scored two of Detroit’s season-high five power-play goals and added an assist in the Red Wings’ victory over Toronto Maple Leafs.

Capitals 5, Flyers 3

PHILADELPHIA – Bryan Muir scored the go-ahead goal at 7:40 of the third period to help lift Washington over Philadelphia Flyers.

Muir scored on a one-timer from between the circles for the Capitals, who bounced back after having their four-game winning streak snapped by Anaheim on Friday.

Alex Ovechkin had a goal and two assists for Washington.

Pettinger scored a power-play goal with 51 seconds left.

Simon Gagne had a pair of goals and an assist, and Mike Knuble had one of each for the Flyers, who have lost three straight.
