JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) – David Higgins, Wang Ter-chang, Simon Dyson and Thonchai Jaidee all shot 6-under 66s Thursday to share the lead after the first round of the Indonesia Open. Thailand’s Jaidee eagled the par-5 first hole and added six birdies, but dropped back to the pack after he bogeyed the 18th under cloudy skies at the 7,082-yard Emeralda Golf and Country Club.

Irishman Higgins had seven birdies with one bogey, while Wang, the winner of last month’s Malaysian Open, finished with eight birdies and two bogeys.

Dyson of England combined a first-hole eagle with six birdies against two bogeys.

American Anthony Kang, Sweden’s Steven Jeppesen and the Australian trio of Anthony Brown, Andrew Buckle and Brad Kennedy were all one shot behind the leaders.

The $1 million tournament is co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours.
