300 bowlers getting younger After a one-week hiatus, I’m back …
In league news, Gudac Lanes has announced its summer schedules.
Senior Citizens will start at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, Adult Juniors will also begin Wednesday, May 24, at 7:30 PM, and Mixed Couples will get under way at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 25.

In other bowling news, I came across another record that was set recently.
Brandie Reamy, of Livonia, Mich., officially became the youngest girl to roll a perfect game in certified competition with her score being approved by the United States Bowling Congress.
Reamy was 12 years, 4 months and 11 days old on April 23 when she bowled her 300 game in the second game of her Sunday Youth Classic Traveling League at Country Lanes in Farmington, Mich.
Prior to her 300 game, her average in the league was 171.
Her achievement broke a record that stood for nearly 11 years. The previous record holder, Nicole Long, was 12 years and 5 months old, when she rolled her perfect game on May 27, 1995.
This just goes to show you that records are made to be broken.
In news from the PBA, membership numbers have increased to an all-time high of 4,260, since a membership drive went into effect in November 2005. The 4,260 members is the highest total since April 2004 when PBA membership reached a then-high 4,137.
Today there are currently three ways to become an official PBA member: Have an average of 200 or better for the most recent league season with at least 36 games, have an average of 190 or better in a sanctioned USBC sport bowling league, or cash in a PBA Regional Tournament as a non-member.
