Volleyball LH coach steps down
Laurel Highlands girls volleyball coach Nancy Wheeler resigned for personal reasons and assistant coach Jacquie Kazmierczak was named interim head coach by LH Superintendent Dr. Ronald Sheba.
Volunteer assistant coach Michelle Deehan also was retained for the remainder of the season.
“I quit coaching to be a better wife and mother,” Wheeler said. “I want the best for the Laurel Highlands volleyball team and I feel that I left them in great hands with coach Jacquie and coach Michelle.”
The Fillies are tied for first place in Section 2-AAA. LH hosts Trinity today.
