Bulldogs cap perfect season Beth-Center capped a perfect season Friday night with a 12-0 victory in Black Hills Conference action at Bentworth on second-quarter touchdown runs by Steve Hvizda and Chris Stay.
Beth-Center finishes atop the conference standings with a 6-0 record, 9-0 overall. The Bearcats miss the playoffs, finishing 2-4 in the conference and 3-6 overall.
Hvizda scored from 2-yards out at 9:33 while Stay powered in from nine yards at 5:18.
Stay carried 20 times for 83 yards while Hvizda gained an additional 52 yards. Dominic Moore completed four passes for 56 and Ryan Butka was his favorite target with two receptions for 33 yards. C.J. Jackson had two interceptions.
The Bulldogs held Bentworth to 53 total yards and four first downs.
Frazier 6, Avella 0 – Jordan Adams scored on a 2-yard run late in the second quarter, and the Commodores made the lead stand for a Black Hills Conference road victory.
Adams rushed for 92 yards for the Commodores (2-4, 3-6) while Jimmy Traynor grabbed both of Joey Kulikoski’s completions for 32 yards.
Avella (0-6, 1-8) gained 98 yards on the ground and made three first downs.
