Bears go through final workout

1 min read

MIAMI (AP) – The Chicago Bears held their final workout Saturday before the Super Bowl, going through a 17-minute walkthrough at Dolphin Stadium, the site of Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Bears used the brief workout to get a feel for the surroundings.

“We’ve gotten everything out of the way,” coach Lovie Smith said. “We know what to expect tomorrow when we come here.”

Smith said he liked the grass field.

“Fast surface, which should suit us,” he said.

The Bears’ special teams, first-team offense and first-team defense each went through a handful of plays. Smith said he expects reserve linebacker and special teams player Rod Wilson, who hurt his hamstring in Friday’s practice, to be available Sunday.

Before the walkthrough, the Bears were relaxed and playful. Kicker Robbie Gould and some of his teammates booted a blue and silver soccer ball.
