40th anniversary celebrated
Prior to Friday night’s Laurel Highlands-Hampton game, the Mustangs celebrated the 40th anniversary of the undefeated 1966-67 Laurel Highlands team, which had a 23-0 record. Kneeling (from left) are current assistant coach Ed Zelich, head coach Rick Hauger and Athletic Director Mark John. In the back (from left) are current Laurel Highlands Principal John Diamond, Jeff Collier, current assistant coach Jack Buehner, Dwight Singo, Jon Kruper, Bill Martin, Ray Yauger, Wilbert Robinson and master of ceremonies George Von Benko. Collier, Singo, Kruper, Yauger, Martin and Robinson were honored as members of the 1966-67 team.
