Track & field Hensh finishes 10th
Nathaniel Hensh of Laurel Highlands finished 10th in the pole vault in the P & FCA Indoor State Track & Field Championship held at Penn State University. Hensh vaulted a personal best 13-6 to become the highest finishing sophomore in the event.

Roaring Lions win
Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus earned its second win of the spring season by beating Delaware Valley College, 8-6, Thursday morning.
The Roaring overcame a 3-1 deficit by scoring seven runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings before holding off Delaware Valley at the end.
John Pochron worked the first five innings to earn the win, while Bobby Fulton earned a save by pitching the seventh inning. Pochron gave up four runs on six hits. He struck out five and didn’t walk a batter.
Four players had two hits each for the Roaring Lions. Jared Early was 2-for-4 with a triple, while Phil Gratchic, Rich Schleihauf and Justin Corso all were 2-for-3. Fulton and Zach Cumberland doubled.

Scott wins opener
Oklahoma State’s Coleman Scott, a Waynesburg Central graduate, opened the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships with an 11-1 major decision at 133 pounds over Cal-Davis’ Omar Gaitan.
Pittsburgh’s Drew Headlee, another Waynesburg Central grad at 133 pounds, lost his first bout, a 7-4 decision to Wisconsin’s Zach Tanelli.
