Penguins sign defenseman, D’Aversa

PITTSBURGH (AP) – The Pittsburgh Penguins signed free agent defenseman Jonathan D’Aversa to a three-year entry level contract on Friday. D’Aversa, 21, recorded 150 points in 259 games over the last four seasons with the Sudbury Wolves in the Ontario Hockey League.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman is from Richmond Hill, Ontario.
