Third annual Groundhog Bonanza set June 9-23 Woodlands World of Uniontown will host its third annual Groundhog Bonanza June 9 through June 23.
Prizes will be awarded for the biggest groundhog and the most groundhogs.
Registration and check-in will be held at Woodlands World.
Hunters must register before 8 p.m. June 8, and all groundhogs must be presented for scoring before noon on June 23.
Entry fee is $5 per person. One hundred percent of the entry fee will be awarded as prize money, plus the winner in each category will receive a Woodlands World gift certificate equal to the cash award.

Youth Day
Roscoe Sportsmen’s Association and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will host the 16th annual Youth Day for youngsters age 8-16 on Saturday, June 23 at the club grounds in Long Branch.
Entry fee is $5 and includes lunch.
The event will be held rain for shine.
Planned seminars include: Turkey Hunting Safety; Pennsylvania Game Commission; Bird Dog Demonstration; Archery Shooting; Trap Shooting; Muzzleloader Shooting; Rifle Shooting; Fly Tying; Taxidermy; Birds of Prey and Pistol Shooting.
The program is limited to 100 applicants, so pre-registration is suggested.
Parental attendance is optional, but a parent or guardian must check in with each child at the registration table in the morning.

RGS clay shoot
The Covered Bridge Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will hold a Sporting Clay shoot Saturday, June 2 at the Hunting Hills Sporting Clay, 181 Hunting Hills Road, Dilliner.
Entry fee for this 100-target event is $75 and includes dinner and door prizes.
A corporate five-man team package is also available at $450, and along with the targets it includes dinner for five, one golf cart and a sponsorship sign at one of the 17 shooting stations.
Additional golf carts will be available at $35.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Shooting warm-ups run from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m. The main event starts at 10 a.m. Following the 1 p.m. dinner, a silent auction will be held for dozens of sporting items.
