Beth-Center was able to get out of the jam when right fielder Karissa Snyder snagged a line drive on a dead sprint and fired on to first for an inning-ending double play.

The South Fayette defense, led by pitcher Ayla Gounder, was able to keep the game scoreless through six-and-a-half innings. B-C finally broke up the shutout and grabbed the win when Ashley Weaver, who walked with one out, scored on a close play at the plate that was dropped by the Lady Green Lions’ catcher.
