Golf Pair scores aces

The Summit Golf Course had a couple holes-in-one in the past week, both on the fifth hole.

Playing mates Nick Snyder and John Harler witnessed Chase Harler, an 11-year-old from Moundsville, W.Va., ace the 148-yard hole.

Charles Pillar, playing from the back tee, used a 7-iron to ace the 155-yard hole on Aug. 29. James Smithberger, Jim Pillar and Tom Kebberly witnessed the shot.

Puskar scores goal

Connellsville graduate Paige Puskar scored the lone goal for Pitt-Greensburg Monday in the Bobcats’ 3-1 loss to visiting Washington & Jefferson.

Spencer Ahrenholtz scored a pair of goals and Alex Findley added the other score for the Presidents. Jackie Foltz made five saves in the victory.

W&J hosts Penn State-Altoona Wednesday.
