Golf Krieger cards an ace Shirley Krieger, of Uniontown, scored a hole-in-one on July 16 at The Links at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa. She used a 7-wood to ace No. 10, a 116-yard par-3. Judy Johnson witnessed the shot.

Cal U picked 5th in PSAC

The California University of Pennsylvania women’s soccer team was picked to finish fifth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division in a preseason vote among the division’s head coaches.

Slippery Rock earned the top spot in the poll with two first-place votes. Defending champion Mercyhurst received five first-place votes but finished second in the poll as Gannon was slotted for a third place finish and got the other first-place vote.
