ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) – Ryan Villopoto won his third AMA Supercross race of the season after a wild final lap in front of a near-sellout crowd of 69,517 at the Georgia Dome on Saturday night.

James Stewart bobbled on the second lap to allow Chad Reed to get by, but a lapped rider allowed Stewart to close back in. The pair took the white flag before colliding and falling to the ground, allowing Villopoto to dash in front on the last lap for the victory.

Villopoto, of Poulsbo, Wash., now has a 10-point lead over Stewart in the season standings.

In the Supercross Lites, Dean Wilson of Menifee, Calif., won his first career Supercross race by holding off Justin Barcia of Ocholocknee, Ga., and Blake Baggett of Grand Terrace, Calif.
