Steelers sign Connellsville native to three-year deal

By Mike Ciarochi heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

Connellsville native Terrance McCrae signed a three-year contract with the Steelers on today.

McCrae, who played wide receiver at Ohio University after an outstanding high school career with the Falcons, will get a free agent look at receiver for the Steelers.

He said he reports to the team’s St. Vincent College training site on Wednesday.

At 6-3, 200 pounds, McCrae said he chose the Steelers over Cincinnati, Baltimore, Arizona and Houston because of his size. He and Mike Wallace are the team’s only receivers over 6-0.

McCrae is a nephew of former Steelers guard Sam Davis.
