JOE HOWARD OUTING

Uniontown Country Club will host the sixth annual Coach Joe Howard Memorial Golf Outing on Friday, June 17. The event, hosted by the California (Pa.) University Football Alumni, features a noon registration and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cost is $125 per golfer. Individuals not wishing to golf are welcome to attend the dinner at a cost of $50. Checks should be made payable to The Foundation For California University of Pennsylvania (Attention: Shayna Aberegg) and sent to PO Box 668, California, PA 15419. SALVATION ARMY EVENT

The Uniontown Salvation Army will host its second annual Hall of Fame 5K Run/Walk and ½ Mile Fun Run on Thursday, June 23. Registration starts at 5 p.m. on race day and 4-6 p.m. the day before. The race starts at 7 p.m., and the ½ Mile Fun Run starts at 6:30 p.m. for children ages 2-11. All activities will take place at the Uniontown Salvation Army located at 32 West Fayette Street.
