Rantovich cards another ace
Roger Rantovich scored his 16th career hole-in-one Monday when he aced No. 6 at Springdale Golf Course, a 145-yard par-3, with a 9-iron. Jimmy Morris, Scott Morris and Dan Wilson witnessed Rantovich’s third hole-in-one of 2011 and second in the past three weeks.

Cal U holds ‘Redbirds Day’
The California (Pa.) men’s soccer team will present its annual Dunlevy Redbirds Day on Saturday, Sept. 24. The presentation will be held in conjunction with the formal dedication of the Vulcans’ new soccer facility on Orchard Street. Ceremonies begin at 1 p.m. between the women’s match against East Stroudsburg at 11 a.m. and the men’s match at 1 p.m.

Waynesburg University senior midfielder Terrin Crist was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after assisting on both winning goals in Yellow Jacket wins against La Roche (2-0) and Hood (1-0).
