Cal’s Schilling honored
California University of Pa. sophomore Kaitlyn Schilling was named the PSAC-West Pitcher of the Week after leading the Vulcans to three wins last weekend at the Limestone Invitational.
Schilling was credited with all three victories (two starts, one relief appearance) with a 2.44 ERA. She has allowed six runs (five earned) in 14.1 innings with 12 hits and 13 strikeouts.

Petty top hitter
California University of Pa. junior Kyle Petty was selected as the NCBWA Atlantic Region Hitter of the Week with a batting average of .750 (9-of-12), two home runs, a triple, six RBI and six runs scored. He finished with 17 total bases for a 1.417 slugging percentage. Petty was earlier named the PSAC-West Hitter of the Week.
Basketball
Vann defensive player
California University of Pa.’s Travon Vann was named the inaugural PSAC-West Defensive Athlete of the Year and earned All-PSAC-West second-team honors.
Teammate Steve Swiech was named to the All-PSAC-West first team.
Johns athlete of the year
California University of Pa.’s Amy Johns was named the PSAC-West Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the All-PSAC-West first team.
Danielle Luckett was named to the conference second team.
