Fayette places four on USCAA All-America teams

Four players from Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus were selected to various UCSAA All-America teams for the 2011-2012 season.

David Winns, a junior forward on the men’s team from Washington, D.C., was selected first-team Division II All-American. Winns went over the 1,000-point plateau during this season, and averaged 7.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots per game.

Jill Guthrie, a sophomore guard-forward from Uniontown, was selected first-team on the women’s All-America team. Guthrie averaged 18.1 points, 8.67 rebounds and 3.57 steals per game.

Selected as honorable mentions on the women’s All-America team were Roaring Lions Kasey Ruble, a junior guard from Albert Gallatin, and Caitlin Wontroba, a freshman guard from Laurel Highlands. Ruble averaged 4.7 assists per game, while Wontroba made 31.1 percent of her three-point shots and 74.8 percent of her free throws. She also accounted for 3.2 steals per game.
