Mustangs drop 3 in Myrtle Beach

The Laurel Highlands baseball team had three setbacks over the weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Mustangs lost, 6-4, to Benton (N.J) High School on Saturday.

Anthony Molchan and Drew Yauger had two hits for Laurel Highlands, while Kenny Sova doubled.

Powell (Ky.) High School had too much offense for the Mustangs to overcome as LH lost, 14-6.

Although they lost, the Mustangs’ had four players with two hits as Molchan, Yauger, Jake Riddell and Mike Patricelli singled.

In a 5-4 loss to Chagrin Falls (Ohio), the Mustangs’ Brandon Williams had a single and tripled.

Teammates Giuseppe Schiano and Zach Hill had base hits.

The Mustangs play Walnut High School (Ky.) at 9 a.m. this morning.
