Waynesburg Central teammates Marissa Kalsey and Peyton Hampson both finished second last Friday in the 39th annual Baldwin Invitational.

Kalsey cleared 12 feet in the pole vault, second only to Hempfield’s Larissa Debich’s record-setting vault of 13-¼. Hampson was second in the 800 with a time of 2:14.4

The Lady Raiders’ Richelle Tharp placed third in the javelin with her top effort of 126-4.

Belle Vernon’s Adam Cole was fourth in the javelin with a throw of 171-10, and teammate Jessica Slagus was sixth in the girls javelin with a throw of 126-4.

The Lady Leopards’ Samantha Mendicino was ninth in the 1,600 with a time of 5:29.30.
