PENN HIGHLANDS CLUB TRYOUTS
The Penn Highlands Volleyball Club are ready to hold their 15th annual tryout for female players. Tryouts for girls that are 6-14 years old will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, from 1-4 p.m. at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. The 15-16 age group tryouts will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, from 1-4 p.m. and the 17-18 age group tryouts will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 1-4 p.m. Youth leagues will also be offered to females in grades 1-7. Players will train and compete with their team from January to March. The cost for the season for a youth league player is $175, which includes jersey and knee pads. Each team will have a qualified coach and practice 1-2 times a week, and compete 1-2 times a month in round robin tournaments to maximize playing time and game experience. All tournaments and practices will be held at the Penn State Fayette Maltho gymnasium on Fridays. For registration information, please visit www.pennhighlandsvolleyball.com.

The South Union Township Sports Network will televise a boys’ youth basketball doubleheader tonight at 7 p.m. featuring the Orange Crush-Raiders (fourth grade) and the Blue Devils-Mountaineers (sixth grade) on CUTV Channel 17 (Atlantic Broadband) and Channel 61 (Armstrong Cable).
