Stay scores 4 TDs in B-C rout

Jason Stay scored four touchdowns to lead Beth-Center to a 54-6 rout of rout in Tri-County South play Friday at Beth-Center.

Stay scored on runs of 27, 5, 20 and 18 to pace the Bulldogs’ ground attack.

Matt Riggle scored on a one-yard run to put Beth-Center up 21-0 before Avella’s Zach Thompson pulled in a 48-yard pass from Santino Paris to cut the lead to 21-6.

The Bulldogs improve to 7-1 in the conference and overall while the Eagles fall to 4-3 in the conference and 5-3 overall.

The Bulldogs would respond strongly with five touchdowns to put the game out of reach.

Cody Durant scored on a three-yard run, Riggle added a one-yard run and Dakota Vilcoss pulled in a 21-yard touchdown pass from Gino Faieta.
