Mundell surges to top spot of Touchdown Club
Carmichaels running back Josh Mundell moved from third place in the Touchdown Club scoring race to first, scoring two touchdowns in the Mikes’ 40-14 win over Vincentian Academy to run his four-week total to 38 points.
Jefferson-Morgan’s Dustin Conti scored a touchdown in the Rockets’ 26-21 loss to Avella, slipping to second place with 36 points.
Beth-Center’s Matt Riggle took a big leap in the standings, moving to into a tie with Conti after scoring a pair of touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 61-0 rout of Bentworth. Jefferson-Morgan’s Nic Santoya also scored a pair of touchdowns to pull into the tie with 36 points.
Although Frazier’s Jamie Fell scored a touchdown, he slipped to fifth place. Mapletown’s Adam Hein made a big leap in the standings with two touchdowns and a pair of two-point conversions for a four-week total of 28 points.
Jefferson-Morgan’s Mati Zeglan is alone in seventh place with 25 points, and six players are tied for eighth with 24 points.
