Greensburg C.C. defeats California, 4-1

The Centurions swept the singles and split the doubles Monday as Greensburg C.C. defeated visiting California, 4-1, in Section 1-AA action.

Bargo Patel and Dan Seamans won the top two singles matches in straight sets, each dropping only one game. Nick Very completed the sweep at No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 6-0.

The Trojans’ Michael Christopher and Jordan Jacobs needed two tiebreakers, but held on for a three-set victory at No. 1 doubles over Devon Nguyen and Nick Crona. After losing the first set 6-3, Christopher and Jacobs rallied to win the next two sets, 7-6 (2) and 7-6 (5).

Greensburg C.C.’s Ross Michaels and Matt Come won at No. 2 doubles over Zac Parocai and Spencer Doman, 6-1, 7-5.
